The Basics

Cinema is a visual art form. Cinema is not literature. A film is not a novel.
Our Film Analysis Handbook will provide you with terminology and techniques for decoding and examining film.
Lets now look at Pages 1-6.

SWAT

When we analyse a film or visual text, we analyse it relation to Symbolic, Written, Audio and Technical codes.
